The Passing of Richard Orzecki

Media Statement  – Council Acknowledges Richard Orzecki

“New Zealand Māori Council was sad to hear of the passing of Richard Orzecki earlier this week”, says Council Co Chair Maanu Paul.

“Richard was the Deputy Chairman of the New Zealand Māori Council at a time of turmoil. He had a key role in facilitating the Council transition from the long-term leadership of Sir Graham Latimer to the current Council.  The Council is continuing with the work he started,” says Maanu.
